Your calorie needs can technically increase slightly (100-300 kcal) during the luteal phase of your menstrual cycle (the week before your period) as your body temperature rises.

⚠️ Minimum Intake

Women should generally not eat below 1,200 calories per day. Going this low can disrupt hormones, cause hair loss, and stop your period (amenorrhea).
